Driving Entrepreneurship Forward

Made possible by the generosity of Dennis and Janet Jaggi, the Jaggi School reflects their commitment to advancing education and innovation at S&T. Their transformational $12.5 million gift in November 2025 established the Dennis and Janet Jaggi School of Business.

Dennis Jaggi earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from S&T in 1970. He built a distinguished career that led him to entrepreneurship in the energy sector. He transitioned in 2001 to help launch Flatrock Energy Partners. When Flatrock later divided into three companies, Jaggi and his partners founded Flatrock Energy Advisors, a mergers and acquisitions consultancy that quickly gained national recognition. Their success led to a partnership with EnCap Investments and the creation of EnCap Flatrock Midstream, which has since raised more than $9.5 billion in capital.

Throughout his career, Jaggi demonstrated a commitment to innovation, calculated risk-taking and building organizations from the ground up: qualities that now inspire the entrepreneurial focus of the Jaggi School of Business.

“I want S&T students to have the opportunity to learn about business and entrepreneurship earlier than I did,” Jaggi says. “My vision for the school is that it will instill in students the confidence they need to take two or three years and give entrepreneurship a try. If it turns out it’s not for them, they will have learned a lot of new and very valuable skills.”
